Effective date: 29 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The LODGE Studios ("The LODGE", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit thelodgestudios.co.uk, book a session, fill in one of our forms, or agree to receive text messages (SMS) from us. It applies to customers and visitors in the United States, the United Kingdom and anywhere else we do business.
1. Who we are
The LODGE Studios is a podcast and content recording studio at 33 Factory Road, London E16 2HB, United Kingdom. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
You can contact us about this policy or your information at any time by email at info@thelodgestudios.co.uk or by phone on +44 7438 088774.
2. Information we collect
We only collect the information we need to run our services. This includes:
- Contact details: your name, email address, mobile phone number and, if you give it, your company or show name.
- Booking details: the date, time and length of your session, the services and extras you choose, guest numbers and any notes you send us.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your payment and limited details such as the last four digits of your card, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Messaging records: your text message consent (including the date, time and source of your opt-in), the messages we send you and any replies you send, including STOP and HELP requests.
- Content you create with us: audio and video recorded during your sessions, which we store so we can deliver your files and any editing you order.
- Website and device information: pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location from your IP address, and how you found our site, collected through cookies and similar tools.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Confirm, manage and remind you about your bookings and appointments.
- Send you text messages and emails you have agreed to receive (see section 4).
- Take payment and keep accurate business and tax records.
- Deliver your recordings, edits and other files.
- Answer your questions and provide customer support.
- Improve our website, services and advertising, and understand which marketing works.
- Protect our business, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
4. Text messaging (SMS) and your mobile number
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we use your number to send you messages about the things you have signed up for. Depending on what you agreed to, these may include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, changes to your booking, customer support replies, and, only if you separately agreed to them, offers and updates from The LODGE.
We will not share your mobile number or your text message opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors who support our services, such as our customer service and messaging platform providers, only so they can deliver messages to you on our behalf. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and get help by replying HELP. Full details are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need to do their job. These include:
- Our customer relationship and messaging platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), which stores contact records and sends our text messages and emails.
- Stripe, which processes payments.
- Our email marketing provider, for emails you have agreed to receive.
- Our website hosting and booking system providers.
- Google Workspace, for email and file storage.
- Analytics and advertising tools (Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity), which help us understand how our website is used and measure our adverts. These do not receive your text message consent.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information. Every provider we use is required to keep your information secure and use it only for the services they provide to us.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar tools to make our website work, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block some cookies, parts of the site such as booking may not work as expected.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require (in the UK, normally 6 years). Text message consent records are kept for as long as you are subscribed and afterwards for as long as we need them to prove your consent and respect your opt-out. Session recordings are kept for as long as we need them to deliver your files and any editing you order. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
8. How we protect your information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and reputable providers who maintain their own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will act quickly if anything goes wrong.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
- Stop or limit how we use it, including for marketing.
- Move your information to another provider.
US residents: if you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you have the rights above and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information. We use advertising cookies, which some state laws may treat as "sharing" for targeted advertising; you can opt out by emailing us or by using your browser's cookie controls or a Global Privacy Control signal.
UK and EU residents: we process your information under UK GDPR where it is needed to provide our services (contract), with your consent (for example, marketing messages), to meet legal obligations, or for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
To use any of your rights, email info@thelodgestudios.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
10. Children
Our services and text messages are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not send text messages to anyone we know to be under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom, and some of our service providers store or process information in the United States and other countries. When information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date. If we make a significant change, we will let you know by email or text message where appropriate.
